Innovators’ summer camp comes to London for week

Kids who dream about becoming the next famous inventor, take note: a summer camp with a mission to inspire creativity and innovation in youth is coming to London.

Future Design School, a Toronto agency, is teaming up with Western’s Ivey Business School and TechAlliance to run an entrepreneurship camp in July.

“Entrepreneurship is something we should encourage in kids,” said Sarah Prevette, the founder of Future Design School who is originally from London.

Circles of Care is an innovative interprofessional education (IPE) online game designed to help healthcare providers gain skills working in collaborative interprofessional teams. The game contains twelve patient/client cases from a variety of practice areas and the teams can play as many times as they wish.

Robarts Clinical Trials Inc. moving into the Bell building on Dundas St. in London

Downtown London will soon be boosted by about 100 bright young minds with the movement of Robarts Clinical Trials Inc. into the Bell building at 100 Dundas St.

“Robarts attracts the best researchers from around the world. Now they will work in our downtown and can live in our downtown,” said Mayor Matt Brown.

The move will also allow the prestigious medical facility to expand.

“This will allow us to do better science, bigger science, science that makes a difference,” said Brian Feagan, CEO of Robarts Clinical Trials.

US patent no. 9,000,000

USPTO Issues Patent No. 9,000,000 on Windshield Washer Replacement System by Gene Quinn

Earlier today the United States Patent and Trademark Office issued U.S. Patent No. 9,000,000. The invention that was awarded this historic patent is a system and method of collecting and conditioning rainwater and other moisture from a windshield of a vehicle and utilizing the collected fluid to replenish the fluids in the windshield washer reservoir. According to the invention, a collection funnel is positioned to collect rainwater and other moisture, which is then directed to a conditioning cartridge where the water is de-ionized and windshield washer fluid is added. The mixed fluid is then directed to the pre-existing windshield washer reservoir.
